TRINITY OF SIN: PANDORA #1 - sort of tempted by this but, I have to admit, more from the point of it's a multiversal title, something that feeds into the forthcoming Trinity War and so I'm more interested in how it fits in rather than the character herself. Maybe I'll pick it up, maybe not.
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #5 - here we are at issue 5 and there's already been a "traumatic death" but who's dead? Hawkman, Green Lantern Simon Baz and Martian Manhunter seem safe as their hands appear on the cover; Steve Trevor and Stargirl are mentioned as alive and well in the solicitation so that leaves:
- Catwoman - she's got her own series going on so probably not
- Green Arrow - unlikely as he's got his own title and stars in a hit TV show at the moment
- Katana - again, solo series
- Vibe - solo series and we know he's in the upcoming Trinity War
EARTH 2 #13 - Captain Steel débuts, updating the Commander / Citizen or just plain old Steel character. This could be interesting.
BATMAN #21 - "Witness The New 52 origin of The Dark Knight in BATMAN: ZERO YEAR!" Let me guess: his parents are killed, he spots a bat and vows to fight crime while dressed as a bat. Seriously, do we need a new Batman origin that, according to reports, is going to take a year to tell?
GREEN LANTERN: NEW GUARDIANS #21 - so the old blue guys that have been locked up for years are being called the "Templar Guardians" and, looking at the cover, they look like they're into armour and robes. No surprises they're going to take over from the old, bat-crap crazy Guardians.
ALL STAR WESTERN #21 - "The old West meets The New 52 as Jonah Hex visits the 21st century!" Jonah Hex goes time travelling again! Let's hope that works out better than last time, eh?
The tragic death could be Steve Trevor...
ReplyDeleteNah, the death happens at the end of #4 apparently, and Trevor's mentioned as being around in #5.
