It's a sleeping bag shaped like a shark and yet there's not a single "sleeping with the fishes" gag in the copy! Come on, people, if you're selling a shark-shaped sleeping bag you cannot be too proud to go for the obvious line. Jeez, I swear, you're gonna need a better writer . . .

Watchmen 0.1

We all know Watchmen was originally conceived as starring the Charlton heroes that DC had acquired around the time Moore and Gibbons started work on it, yeah? And that after DC decided they wanted to keep using the Charlton characters, Moore set about creating his own analogs for them which became the characters we all know and love in what many consider to be one of the best comic books ever.

Well, what do you get if you add months of internet chatter and rumour around a proposed Watchmen sequel / series of prequels to a comic nerd currently teaching himself how best to use layers in Photoshop?

The cocktail post was delayed this week due to a drunken weekend away with some friends. Still, least there was more than last week.

• Top Ten Season Special #1 - Judge Death, Dr Manhattan and the judge from Pink Floyd's The Wall all in the same comic!
• Trinity #43 - delusions of grandeur from the big three.

And what made me chuckle last week:

One of the best court room dramas I've ever read.
