Why do you need to show something clearly labelled as a "12 Inch" figure with a ruler next to it? Especially one which is clearly longer than 12 inches?!

I'm sure the Create Your Own figures will be great fun for kids of all ages, but I have to wonder why you can get a Superhuman Male but not a Superhuman Female? Isn't that just reinforcing the idea that all female superheroes have to have the same body shape?

As typically American as superhero comics are, I think Archie comics are even more so; they're as quintessentially American as the stars and stripes and mom's apple pie. Which is why it was a little surprising to see they're doing a zombie apocalypse story! Not something I ever expected to see.

According to the solicitation, Animals With Sharpies contains pictures of animals using Sharpies pens to write messages dealing with "political and religious tracts, confessions, recipes, arithmetic problems and more. Above all, these paintings are funny"

Can I suggest that if you're pushing a book containing "funny" pictures, you might want to put a better one on the cover?

Really? There's just one that can beat Vibe? As much as I like the guy and think the Justice League Detroit really wasn't that bad, I find it hard to believe there's only one super power that can beat him.

The current economic climate sucks, doesn't it? While I'm nowhere near broke there's some potentially large scale repair work that's going to be needed on the house soon so I'm having to watch the pennies which means cutting down on things. I'm trying not to get more ongoing comic series but then I see this: Ame-Comi Girls #1. I've heard that it's good fun which isn't surprising as it's written by Palmiotti and Gray of All-Star Western, Power Girl and Freedom Fighters among many others, so it's really tempting . . .

Chief among the many, many, many crimes committed in Episode I: The Phantom Menace was the way one of the coolest villains ever was casually discarded at the end of the film. The death of Darth Maul was a shocking waste of a great character - imagine if the first Star Wars film had killed off Darth Vader at the end of the battle of the Death Star instead of sending him spinning off into space. Why couldn't Lucas pull a similar stunt with Maul?

Anyway, his apparent return in the animated Clone Wars series has been all over the place lately but bringing him back with the lower body of a mechanical spider?! I think I'd rather have left him dead.
