Friday Night Fights - The Savage Hunter
It's Friday and we all know what that means, don't we? Fights!
For those of us currently enjoying Booster Gold, here's a little reminder of how Rip Hunter used to behave.
He's gone back in time, right to the stone age, to track down Vandal Savage and kill him to prevent various terrible things happening in the past, present and future.
A gun versus a stick? No contest, right? Maybe not . . .
Hunter manages to get off a shot, though . . .
and despite being hoisted and dunked, grabs a rock and . . .
There you go, folks - that's the fine, upstanding citizen who is currently forcing Booster Gold to face trial in the 25th Century for theft. Who, exactly, is going to tell Hunter that he should face trial for stone age murder?
Anyhow, head over to Spacebooger by clicking on the picture below and, after 11pm EST, check out the other fights and vote for your favourite.
This bludgeoning first appeared in Time Masters #8 from September 1990, written by Lewis Shiner and Bob Wayne, with art by Art Thibert and José Marzan Jr. though the scans are from the Time Masters trade paperback.
Oh, and in case any continuity cops are watching, it turns out that the big bearded fella wasn't Vandal Savage - it was his father; the young caveman in the first picture is Savage.
