My comics this week:

• Blackest Night: Tales of The Corps #2 - nice to see some Tom Mandrake artwork once more.
• The Boys: Herogasm #3 - Black Noir did what now?!
• Final Crisis Aftermath: Dance #3 - okay this is all starting to be a bit . . . dare I say it?  Boring?
• Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds #5 - holy crap?! Finally!
• Green Lantern #44 - "Xanshi. Rise." My jaw nearly hit the floor.
• Power Girl #3 - damn, I'm loving this series, I really am.
• Project Superpowers: Chapter Two #1 - good guys become the bad guys and the little guys are going to kick their butts.
• Wednesday Comics #3 - Kamandi, Supergirl and The Flash - easily the best stories this week.

And what made me smile:

J'onn J'onnz throws a whole freaking building!  Awesome!

Annotations For Blackest Night

Just a quick note about what's been happening over at The Annotated Blackest Night:

• Detailed annotations for Blackest Night #1 are up;
• Notes for the Green Lantern stories Rage of The Red Lanterns and Agent Orange are done;
• Notes for the Green Lantern Corps stories Sins of The Star Sapphire and Emerald Eclipse are done;
• All of the things I need a hand with are collected into the Help Needed page;
• A basic Comments / Guestbook page is in place.

Comics Themes For iGoogle

If you've ever thought to check out my other blog you may have noticed I'm something of a fan of Google products.  I use Blogger, obviously, as well as Gmail, Reader, Sites and a whole bunch of their other goodies.

While perusing the blogs I read using the Google Feed Reader, I came across this article on the official Google Blog - comics themes for iGoogle.

They've got a decent selection and, I'm pleased to say, a Green Lantern Blackest Night theme which now sits on my iGoogle page.  Go check 'em out.

The notes for the first issue of Blackest Night are now up at The Annotated Blackest Night site.

Go check 'em out and have your copy of #1 to hand as there's a couple of things I'm definitely missing - anything in blue and bold text - but I may have something wrong.

Who'd Like A Cocktail? #46

• Blackest Night #1 - the event of 2009 kicks off and I'm already enjoying it more than Final Crisis! The notes for this issue should be up at the Annotated Blackest Night any time soon.
• Blackest Night: Tales of The Corps #1 - the War of Light explodes across the sectors!
• The Brave and The Bold #25 - yay! More Blue Beetle!
• Final Crisis Aftermath: Escape #3 - seriously, can anyone tell me what the hell's going on here?
• JSA vs. Kobra #2 - if Sturges and Willingham had to take a breather from Justice Society of America at some point, I recommend DC get Eric Trautmann in.  This series is good.
• Wednesday Comics #2 - only story I'm not reading is Wonder Woman; too cramped with too much art and dialogue - the rest is cracking, though!
